Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must possess the following qualifications as of 14-06-2026:

  • Option A: Matriculation/SSLC plus ITI from recognized institutions (NCVT/SCVT) in trades like Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, etc.
  • Option B: Matriculation/SSLC plus a 3-year Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Automobile Engineering.

Age Limit & Relaxation

Candidates must be aged between 18 and 30 years as of 01-07-2026. Age relaxation is provided as follows:

  • OBC (NCL): 3 years
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: Up to 8 years depending on category and service length.
  • Serving Railway Staff: Up to 45 years for SC/ST.

  • General/OBC: Rs. 500/- (Rs. 400 refundable after appearing in CBT-1).
  • SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Female/EBC: Rs. 250/- (Fully refundable after appearing in CBT-1).
