Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following educational and professional requirements as of 03.10.2026:

  • Option A: B.Sc. (Hons) in Nursing, or regular B.Sc. Nursing, or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institute, along with registration as a Nurse/Midwife with a State Nursing Council.
  • Option B: Diploma in General Nursing and Mid-wifery (GNM) from a recognized board, registration as a Nurse/Midwife, and one year of experience in a minimum fifty-bedded hospital.

Age Limit & Relaxation

The age limit for applicants is 18 to 35 years. Age relaxation is provided as per government norms:

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • PwBD: 10 years
  • Central Govt. Employees: Up to 5-10 years depending on category.
  • PGIMER Permanent Employees: 10 years.

Application Fee

  • General/OBC/EWS: Rs. 1500/- plus transaction charges.
  • SC/ST: Rs. 800/- plus transaction charges.
  • PwBD: Exempted from fee payment.

Salary & Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be appointed in Pay Level-7 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix. The monthly salary scale is Rs. 44,900 – 142,400/-.

Selection Process

Selection is based solely on a Computer Based Test (CBT). There is no interview for this Group ‘B’ post. The exam consists of 100 MCQs to be completed in 100 minutes, with a negative marking of 0.25 for each incorrect answer.
