Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must possess a Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR a Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in a Professional Course. Additionally, candidates must have been selected through a process described by one of the following:
- Scholars selected through National Eligibility Tests such as CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship) and GATE.
- Selection through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies/Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MOE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISC, IISER, or NISER, with two years of research experience.

The maximum age limit for the Senior Research Fellow position is 32 years. Age relaxation may be provided to eligible candidates in accordance with the rules of the sponsoring agency.
